The Value for Money VonShef 750W Food Processor (In-depth Review)
I have been using the VonShef 750W food processor for about 8 months now and here are my findings.
I never really found a reason to use one, thinking I could do everything by hand with a knife and a bit of time.
How wrong I was.
However, there are a few bad points I have to mention about the VonShef 750W food processor but on the whole this will be a great addition to your kitchen.
Why would I need to buy a food processor?
For its price range you get an awful lot of kitchen help, including a large 2 litre mixing bowl and a 1.8 litre blender which is ideal for juicing and making soups.
- Great Value For Money
- Juicing Attachment Included
- Plastic Construction
Being multifunctional is just one of the benefits, allowing you to chop, mix, grate, shred, slice, blend, liquidise and make bread dough.
It comes with a juicing attachment so it is really easy to create your morning orange or grapefruit juices. To help with cleaning everything comes apart easily and it is very simple to reassemble allowing you to get back to your baking creations.
Dough and pastry making.
I never thought I would be so eager to hand over the process of making bread to a machine. Like most home chefs I love kneading dough, or rubbing butter and flour together to create pastry, so the thought of just putting everything into a bowl and letting the machine take over was quite alien to me.
But, I have to say, once I tried it there was no going back.
It is effortless, far less messy and gives great results.
Now making dough is straight forward and easy.
Juices and Soups
Simple and fun. That just about sums it up.
In the warm summer months there is nothing better than freshly squeezed juices or, as I have started making a lot lately, milkshakes. Yep, milkshakes.
Made with fresh fruit and milk.
They are so simple to make and extremely healthy. A great way to get your kids to have there 5-a-day.
All you need is half a glass of milk blended with two small bananas and blueberries or raspberries and you have the perfect healthy milkshake.
It comes with so many attachments it’ll take you ages to use them all.
So far I have blended soups, made juices, cakes, bread, pastries and chopped peanuts into peanut butter!
Here are the negatives
There are some negatives with this food processor though.
There has to be really doesn’t there?
As always there are problems when you create an all-rounder of a product and sell it at a great price.
“Their customer service was simple, helpful and immediately effective.”
It is made of plastic and wear-and-tear happens quite a lot. I had the product 8 months using on a daily basis and the juicer attachment started slipping.
But having a two year warranty I simply telephoned the helpline and they replaced it within a couple of days – quite a miracle these days!
Their customer service was simple, helpful and immediately effective.
That said, you don’t want to buy something to keep replacing it do you, so please remember this is a general everyday food processor and blender and is not built for strenuous industrial baking.
If you want a processor to help you out with your baking this is definitely worth the investment and in a few years time maybe consider buying a more expensive and solid version.
The VonShef 750W food processor is a great all rounder and if you’re new to the world of automatic food preparation in your kitchen this is a great place to start, with a 2 year manufacturer warranty, you really can’t go wrong.
