If, like me, you like the coffee shop culture of just sitting back and watching the world go by over a cup of rich scented coffee, then this is the site for you.
I have gained inspiration from all the skilled baristas and coffee shop owners who have fed me over the years.
Not only that, but I grew up in a home where baking brought the family together.
Whether it was a simple Sunday afternoon tea with Victoria sponge, my childhood birthday party or a large family get-together, food and baking was always at the centre of it.
Not Quite Pink Sponge – Yet!
I’ve lost count of the amount of times Mum would come home from work as head of the local school kitchen and bring with her samples of tray bakes or pink sponge pudding – great with pink custard!!
I don’t promise pink custard but there will be a few laughs along the way and some amazingly simple baking to help you bring your family and friends together.
I’m not bothered about using all the latest hi-tech equipment either. Usually the basic baking equipment are all you need, and if that’s all you’ve got, then great.
It doesn’t take too much to start creating. Having said that though, I have just invested in a food processor which has made my life a little easier, but you don’t really need one.
It’s your choice.
So, no more talking, put the kettle on and let’s get baking!
